Just a week after dropping his first single for 2019, emerging Rap, Afro-Pop and Afro Funk artist, Kiddblack has premiered a simple but stunning visuals to the song.
Directed by Edgar Tagor, ‘Snapchat’ was shot in Accra and features Darkovibes. The video sees Kiddblack himself play the role of someone finding new love after a break-up. The video opens with the former and his old flame having an argument in a car park, which ends with her walking away and he looking on perplexed.
The song, produced by Boye ‘The Genius’ then starts providing the soundtrack to two storylines; the ex with her new man, seeing Kidd’s face and hearing his voice all over the city and Kidd with his new girl taking trips and doing things that newly-found couples do. The relatable storyline, Kiddblack’s effortlessly cool delivery, plus Darkovibes’ code-switching to perfection in the first verse and chorus all come together to tell a story of moving on to better things.
‘Snapchat’ by Kiddblack is indeed a must watch.
