25 Kenyan Rappers Set To Fight For Kshs. 25,000

The African music service, Mdundo.com, is behind a new live concept for the Kenyan hiphop industry. The date is set at 16th December 2017 at Sarakasi Dome in Nairobi and 25 rappers have already been selected from Mdundo.com to participate in the battle.

Nairobi, December 2017: This is a battle of words! MCs Fight Night is the latest rap battle in Nairobi set to launch the first edition in December 2017. At the event 25 Kenyan rappers will fight for ksh. 25,000. The fight will be hosted by one of Kenyas most respected hiphop artists, Point Blank, and guest performers include Kayvo Kforce and Vicmass Luodollar.

The free African music service, Mdundo.com, is behind the event. CEO, Martin Nielsen, says “We believe that there’s a huge potential for events in Kenya, especially targeting different and new audiences with cool and innovative concepts. We hope to give all hiphop fans an amazing evening and we expect it to be the best hiphop party of 2017”.

The rules of the competition are simple. In 5 different battles every rapper has 60 seconds on a random beat to convince the audience that he/she deserves to be in the final. The top five rappers (out of the 25 participating) with the most votes by the audience is selected for the finals. Each finalist will get an additional 60 seconds before the winner of the ksh. 25,000 is announced.

Tickets can be purchased online in advance for ONLY 200ksh, tickets will be available at the door for 250ksh (until sold out).
